About Me

Suzanne McDowell - BSC(Hons)PGCE,PGDipSpLD(AMDA)

Unlocking a child or adults true potential is my goal.

Having worked with hundreds of children and adults who experience difficulties with Reading, Spelling, Writing and Maths, I understand how important it is for them to feel they can progress in Education.

I have over 20 years of experience of teaching in a variety of Primary, Secondary and Higher Education Facilities across Warwickshire. I have a solid understanding of how Special Education needs is catered for in schools through my role as a Special Education Needs Coordinator. I have been involved in the statementing process.

For part of that time I was an advisory teacher, specializing in helping children with Special Educational Needs and Dyslexia.

I have experience of assessment and tuition in both the public and private sectors.

I am an associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and also hold a current PATOSS practising certificate. This enables me to carry out assessments for students applying for the Disabled Students Allowances (DSA).
